The Humber Bay Shores Residents Association (HBSRA) is a volunteer, non-profit organization committed to enhance the quality of life in our community through active engagement and participation of residents.
1. Engage and transparently communicate with residents and other interested community members on issues specific to Humber Bay Shores and concerns that may affect neighbouring areas or all of Toronto.
2. Advance and protect the interests of residents in and around the Humber Bay Shores area.
3. Promote transparency, accountability and efficiency of local government service delivery to the Humber Bay Shores area.
4. Represent the Members of the Association in negotiations and communications with all levels of government, neighbouring associations, groups, individuals, the media and the general public.
5. Monitor municipal, provincial and federal government initiatives that impact Humber Bay Shore residents and proactively communicate that information with all residents and other interested community members.
6. Influence political actions, conduct research and make evidence-based representations to all levels of government for, but not limited to, issues that concern our community and the enhancement of the quality of residential and economic life in and around the Humber Bay Shores area.
7. Develop collaborative partnerships with other associations and organizations to enable HBSRA to more effectively accomplish its objectives.
8. Foster and participate in initiatives that enhance the safety, beauty and environmental and economic viability of the Humber Bay Shores area.
9. Promote a sense of community within the Humber Bay Shores area.
10. Promote and preserve the quality of life that reflects the unique character of Humber Bay Shores.
11. Promote a consultative planning process for local parkland within the Humber Bay Shores area.
12. Initiate and support projects requiring or benefiting from community support that advance the above objectives.
